Video websites are the next big thing. It is totally hot since YouTube sold for a unbelievable amount (1.65 billion dollar) to Google. Millions of people are watching the computer screen daily, actively devouring thousands of user submitted videos.
YouTube is king under the video hype, but other smaller video sites have started big push campaigns to get their share of the online video market. If those sites want new and fresh videos every day, they need users with great content. How do they get those users? Yes, pay them.
Break.com is a relative big video sharing site. And they are paying the users with great content (videos, pictures even small movies). watch at this price list:
- $ 25 for an original picture
- $ 400 for an original video
- $ 2,000 for a small movie
That is insane. But, here is the catch. You will only get paid when your original picture/video/small movie get featured on Break.com’s homepage. Making money with Break.com requires that you submit something that is high quality, on a popular subject and with a wide audience.
Judging by the most viewed content on Break.com, focusing on hot women, controversial news, funny commercials and weird/cool pranks might be something you want to consider.

Now that’s some nice observation there Nomar, i really like this one. You seem to be getting the drill on how to make your reader anticipate and read more of your post, something we all should learn from.
See you around,

Revver.com is doing the same thing. They made a lot of money for those Mentos and DietCoke guys. I think I remember reading $35,000.

revver.com too? yes that’s a good information. where we can get more earn money again
January 15th, 2007 at 10:35 pm
So, Nomar, you think that it might be a wise move to invest in a video site? Maybe a blog that just auto updates videos every two hours or something along those lines?
January 15th, 2007 at 11:20 pm
AFAIK you only make money with Revver based on ad clicks or impressions of some sort. With this site you get money if it makes it to the front page.

I’ve been using break.com quite a bit. I recently submitted a video some co-workers and I wrote and produced based on The Office. I used Break.com and Metacafe.com, which also pays for original content. I’ll keep you posted, Nomar.
I’ve favored Break.com over GooTube; there’s alot of clutter and crap (IMHO) on GooTube now-a-days.

I like the idea behind Revver (paying the contributor), but their service is generally not as reliable or as fast as YouTube. Too bad the latter pays you jack squat. Have any of you considered Metacafe?

Another video site paying for uploading videos is Meta Café. It is about $20 per 20,000 visitors or something. The most popular videos got over 1 million views, so they got a nice amount of money

“You will only get paid when your original picture/video/small movie get featured on Break.com’s homepage.”
Lol only a small catch. Do they take your material and copyright it?
