I recently signed up with Commission Junction, A (in my eyes) great program to sell products. I am going to give it a try on my blog. Amazon is deleted now, It did not get any clicks. This blog is to small to perform those ads I think. Now I will serve 1 CJ button in my sidebar. Hope this works better.
As you can see I also deleted my text link ads button. It got enough clicks, but nobody signed up. And if someone does, than he needs to buy a link before I receive any money. I am in a learning progress if we are talking about advertisements. I need to try and figure out what works best for me. That’s why I am changing this all.
Pagerank is also updating again. On some datacenters google gives me a pagerank of 4. That’s allright with me. I maybe can sell 1 or 2 small banners/buttons to an advertiser.
My blog is more than 3 months old now. I signed up on pay per post. I am not sure if I will use it. Maybe 1 or 2 times for some extra cash. But I will not post 5 times a week a article that is sponsored. I want to keep quality on my blog ofcourse.
I am still using google adsense on my blog. I think I stick to these the next few months. They are not doing that great, but it already passed last month earnings. I said that I never wanted to earn that little money again. I already succeeded for this month.
I am also putting my poker domain name for sale. I am talking about pokeralive.com. I got it parked on sedo for 1 week now, and got more than 250 uniques + $ 1 revenue. I hope I sell this domain name soon for a nice price.

Nomar,
Great information in this article. I’ve learned quite a bit from following your site. I’m very intrigued how Sedo turns out for you as I have quite a few other domains myself. Just signed up for CJ myself, going to try out an ebay affiliate site on the side. I’ll keep you posted.

That is nice to hear Andrew !! Hope CJ will work out for you well !!
Ofcourse I will give updates on how things are going on Sedo etc.

Nomar, try giving Omakase a try. That’s the contextual Amazon program, and it’s likely to perform much better than a stinkin’ piece of computer memory.

Thanks for the info Ryan, I am going to check it out asap.

I have an idea - write an article about sedo. I have many domain names I do not use like fat64.net, just dont have time to finish those sites. How does sedo work? If I have a domain, do I need to transfer it to sedo so it will be off my account? What is your experience with sedo? Add an article about domain selling experience… I had fat64 listed on several forums that specialize in domain selling and had an offer of $15 :)) What would you sell pokeralive for? There are still .net, .us and some other available…

Nice article, although I’m afraid CJ won’t perform any better, your blog has some nice traffic and readership levels, but any CPA program works a lot better with higher volume sites. Maybe try a more webmaster-oriented ad?
Some centers are showing PR3 for AlleNation, which is pretty good I think, if this blog reaches PR4, it’d be time for you to start selling links

I’m not sure what’s going on here, but in Firefox with Google Toolbar, I’m getting a PR0 for your blog.

Welcome to PR4′hood mate!
My blog is at this level too. I am not experimenting with ads as much as you, because truth be told I am getting paid for some of my posts. However, I only choose paid posts which are interesting to me and, I think will be interesting to my readers.
Good luck with ad methods!

what do you mean paid posts? Explain please.
January 26th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
Michael, the PR is not finished yet, but I will probably end up with a PR 4
Thanks for the link Ryan
Rasim: he mains that he get paid for some of his blog posts. A example of the program is payperpost(.com).

What Nomar said. Use payperpost.com and have also used creamaid.com in the past. Basically you write about something you like, but include a link, picture or keyword about/for a certain company, and you get paid. Anywhere from $4-$20 per post.

Nice work, Nomar. I’ve never had a parked domain pull that many uniques. Most of mine are typos…good typos. My favorite (but not most visited) are my typos for MensHealth.com. I need to consider buying some other (poker related) domains.

If you can get a typo that gets huge traffic. It can easily get you $ 10 a month. That types of typo’s are very nice to have in your portfolio

Hope CJ will work you nicely. Intially you may get $10 from google. Don’t lose your heart. As quality of your site is remarkable, you may earn at least $100 per month in the ensuing years with good PR. Now you got “4″

Thanks for your comment Dev. I know, expecting millions of dollars in a to short period is bad
