February was the best month so far for my blog. Traffic and Earnings were great. Better than I expected. Also because of my digg experience, but that ‘only’ brought in $ 10,- and a lot of visitors (5,000 to be exact). Adsense is not performing really good. I have a click through rate from below 0,5 %. That is really low compared with other bloggers in this niche. But I hope it will change this month.
Traffic: The blog received 18.915 visits generating 38.642 pageviews. In January this it received 10.702 visits generating 21.674 pageviews. This is a big jump in traffic.

Earnings: Last month (January) I earned $ 38,81 from my blog in total. This month was much better:
- Adsense: $ 30,31
- Text Links: $ 20,-
- Sponsored Links + Posts: $ 108,-
- Blogsvertise: $ 10,-
This brings in a total of $ 168,31. February was the most successful month in my blogging period. I can’t wait to break this record again.

Congratulations Nomar! That is a great income

If you take out the Digg Effect how are your trafic numbers?
March 2nd, 2007 at 5:04 pm
Nice Nomar!
Just a quick question though: do the numbers above (visitors/pageviews) come from Google Analytics or Webalizer (the software that generates the image in your post)?
The reason I ask is because Google Analytics doesn’t track robots, while the Webalizer stats include robots.

Excellent job Nomar, your first 3 figures month, when is the first 4 figures one coming?
@Ryan: these statistics aren’t Google Analytic’s for sure, I assume it is Webalizer.

Congrats Nomar, as long as your earnings keep increasing each month that’s a success in itself. Keep working hard!
March 2nd, 2007 at 7:33 pm
Yes, it is webalizer !! It generates some nice images. hmm I didnt know they include robots.
The digg effect got me around 6,000 visitors. It is not much for a frontpage hit. but it reached the frontpage
Hope to hit it again in this month.
I hope to get my four figures in 6 months at least

Good job and good luck earning more next month.
I hope to earn more next month too (who doesn’t?!) but my target is easy, I only need to get over $6

Good job… numbers are looking good, you may want to take a look at the numbers without Digg to help see real growth since many of the Digg users don’t stick around (some of course still do).
My Google Analytics stats are skewed because of my post on the Dixie Chicks getting quite a bit of attention on reddit (no where near the Digg effect though).

Good job nomar, you diserve it

The sponsored posts are a genius method!

Oh, oh…you beat me! Congrats, Nomar!!!

Sponsored posts go a long way. Have you been accepted by ReviewMe?
March 4th, 2007 at 2:48 pm
Yeah, I got accepted
$ 60 is the price
March 4th, 2007 at 7:19 pm
I’ve signed up for Text Link Ads and ReviewMe but got rejected from both
March 4th, 2007 at 7:41 pm
Thats too bad Chris, If you get your blog running good. You will get approved soon
March 4th, 2007 at 11:49 pm
Give it time Chris, you need some PR updates and that the blog is a bit more old. They’ll accept you soon.

You should use google analytics. That will filter out all the noise from your stats as someone above mentioned. How much traffic are you getting from the search engines?
March 6th, 2007 at 4:59 am
Google analytics is the best method. I’m very happy with it for a long time.

Nomar,
How is Blogsvertise? $10 doesn’t seem like a lot. Is it worth signing up for if I am already using PayPerPost and my blog is already full of so much junk?
March 6th, 2007 at 10:41 pm
I did 1 review, but am not going to do anymore.
I also signed up with PayperPost but I will not use their service either.
$ 10 is not much money, and you have to wait 30 days before you get it.
