Every web developer needs hosting. Hosting is a market that will exist for ever, but it is also a market that is over saturated. I also tried to compete in the hosting niche with my Top Hosting website, but I didn’t succeed so far. I have my own reseller hosting so I don’t need hosting anymore. But if I see an offer like this one, I need to share it with you. I am talking about my10gb.com. Here you can get free php web hosting of good quality.
If you want a free hosting account and sign up with them, you get:
- 10 gb space
- 20 gb bandwith
- PHP 4 support
- FTP support
- 99,98 % uptime
I did some more research in free web hosting offers. But I couldn’t find better offers than this one. If you are looking for hosting and your budget is not much. You can try this service. If you signed up, let me know how the service + quality is :).

How do these guys make money? (Yes, I’m too lazy to go look.)
March 12th, 2007 at 7:35 pm
The guy has an advertisement of another hosting company on his site. I think thats the only income source.
But, if he gets alot of members, he has their emails and stuff. That is valuable to

They make money through the up-sell to their premium services. No better way to build up a huge list of leads to sell to than to offer free entry

sounds too good to be true . . . i know i’m paying on the cheap for an 8 host plan and it’s not the greatest. I would hate to imagine what a free service would be like.
March 13th, 2007 at 12:39 am
I’m thinking llike Gary, but I’m definitely going to go check it out.
March 13th, 2007 at 2:00 am
Thanks nomar. Adult is ok, wooow that’s very rare in this days!
March 13th, 2007 at 2:10 am
Yea, I agree. Not many free hosts allow for adult hosting, since well, they ’spoils’ the clean image of the host.

Sounds great, BUT with free accounts such as that on a virtual server (shared)..once you get a lot of people using it, one user may be using up all the bandwidth slowing everyone else down (same as for any shared server). It’d be worse for this later on because it’s free and a lot more people would probably be on the server?

There are a lot of free hosts out there. One big way they try to make money is by constantly offering their free users a hostgator affiliate link for when they need to upgrade. Also giving away free pages can get you a lot of backlinks.
March 14th, 2007 at 12:01 am
Yup, Right on that
March 14th, 2007 at 12:57 am
I dunno if it can “easily” handle a Digg Nomar
Theres a lot more than just transfer limits! CPU usage and bandwidth being the two big ones.
When my site hit the homepage of Digg the other day, we transfer 600GB in 12 hours. We luckily had some extra machines lying around so we could set them up to distribute the traffic. Quite the mess, but it was fun!
