Bass fishing is one of the few charming sports. Bass fishing can never be compared with any other sports, as here you need to use various types of tools. Bass fishing is never going to be the same for every one. There will be surprise for everybody. At times you may not be better prepared but you may end with big booty of bass. At times though you didn’t expect big haul, actually you may have one on the same day. Knowing the tools and related equipments used in the bass fishing is imperative to enjoy bass fishing.

There are various tools that are used in order to tackle a bass fish. They are Lures, hooks, sinkers, reel, rods, lines, sensors, bobbers, vests, hats, scents, nets, scissors etc As far as bass fishing is concerned the selection of the tools and equipment solely depends on the angler’s [catchers] skill level, attitudes, and physical capacity. There no set collection of tools for bass fishing. The main idea of bass fishing is to enjoy the challenges posed by the swift moving intelligent bass fish while trying to catch it.

The selection of the tools will be decided by angler based on the goal purpose, condition of the surrounding, place of bass fishing, and the affordability of the angler. You have variety of options as far as tools are concerned. You may go for natural lures, artificial lures, live bait trolling, fly-fishing etc. In general a rod with a 5.5 to 7 feet length provided with 6 to 10 pound line reel is sufficient for bass fishing. Single action reel is better.

If the lake where you have planned your bass fishing is full of weeds, then you can go for weed less hooks. Perfecting bass fishing is a life long process and developing the perfect technique for bass fishing is on going process. Live lure are having better success rate than the artificial bass fishing lures. However for fresh water bass fishing artificial lures are better preferred by experienced anglers.

A #4 live bait is being used by most people. This bait can be sharpened and pushed up little. This makes the hooked fish to stay hooked until the fish is reeled in fully. A # 5 bait hook is used extensively in weed less conditions. If the selected place for bass fishing is deep and the water is dark and cloudy we need to use sinkers and weights. Now a day special sinkers are available. These special sinkers can attract the bass fish by rattling. As the bass fish are sensitive to the noise and vibrations, they get attracted by the rattling sinkers are get caught in the bait.

Top water baits or buzz baits.

These resemble the spinner bait. This bait has a flat body, which makes it to float on the surface of the water. This bait is one of the favorites among majority of the anglers. These buzz bait lie on the surface of the water and create vibrations that resemble the one that created by the minnow [small fish]. This attracts the bass fish. Assuming these baits as minnow they come near and strike thus getting hooked.

Carolina rig

This is a variant of standard rig called Texas rig. Plastic warms and other artificial baits can be fixed with it with ease. Experienced anglers use heavy weight bait [1 oz]. Sliding the weight should be followed by sliding of plastic beads, barrel swivel and leader line. Carolina rig is best suited for deep-water bass fishing.

Crank bait

These types of baits are made up of plastic or hard wood. Crank bait provided with diving lip as an added feature in the front will attract the bass fish more. As the result the bass fish strike and get caught. The depth that the crank bait can dive depends on the size of the diving lip. Some crane bait are even comes with rattles to lure the bass fish.

Jigs

These are having lead head and hook with dressing. Rubber or plastic baits are added, which gives shape of the skirt. Some experienced anglers add plastic bait as the follower.

Poppers

Poppers are lure of top water. They are provided with long-range punch. Retrieval is very fast in these baits. They jerk in a spot for specific period of time. These are used to locate the bass fish.

Understanding tools and equipments that are used in bass fishing will help the angler to select the appropriate tools and equipment for and enthralling bass fishing.
