This post is a review about travel Avignon. Avignon is located in France, 85 kilometers away from Paris. I went 3 times to France on vacation and I really had a great time there. It was in my younger ages but I remembered a lot of it. Avignon is a nice small city where you can relax, but also if you are looking for an active vacation you are at the right place.
Pont d’avignon is a very famous bridge in Avignon. It is build in the 12th century and it was almost 3000 feet long. The bridge originally crossed the Rhone River and connected the city of Avignon with Villenueve-les-Avignon. Villenueve-les-Avignon is a quaint city opposite of Avignon which was originally founded by Philippe le Bel. The bridge is damaged a lot nowadays because of the weather and enormous water floods in the past.
If you are tempted to go to Avignon, there are enough hotels in Avignon to stay. The hotels are not expensive and you can stay relative cheap.
