While browsing the web I came on this very interesting blog with a great video about authority. John Reese is the guy in the video and he talks about authority for your website. He thinks this is the time to build links for your sites and focus 80 % on one site. The 80 % is to much in my eyes. I think 50 % will do.
The web is going to change a lot in the next few years and it will be harder to become a trusted website and rank high in the search engines. Google is changing the rules of ranking and is trying to ban paid links.
The video is only 5 minutes long and is worth watching. ![]()

Now is the time to get moving in the right direction just a little bit faster.
I think it’s a point that google is trying to make. I don’t see an issue with paid links provided they are relevant to the content at hand.
Who knows. Thanks for sharing the video.

I don’t think Google can ban paid links. There is no way to distinguish one from the other. At least in my eyes.

it’s all about having the right focus . . . . so hard, but so necessary

I can’t imagine how paid links could be detected in most cases, unless a human being actually reads for context.

I don’t think Google has the right to dictate how we can make money. If they’re going to start saying “All links need to be relevant” does that mean I can’t link to a different type of website in a blog post? Who are they to decide what my readers do and do not want to see?
