Search engine news is something that gets my interest big time. Always checking if there are any big changes or just interesting news. I started “Interested Search Engine News” posts 3 weeks ago and I am planning to put 2 of these posts out every month.
Google to Acquire GrandCentral
Google is in discussion with GrandCentral for a take over. The takeover is going to cost Google 50 million dollar. The basic idea around GrandCentral is one phone number for every phone you have. Google is going to compete with Skype if you ask me.
20% to 25% of the search queries at Google are new
This is an interesting post about users and queries at Google. The outcome is that Search is a hard problem.
Yahoo! is a hot topic the last few weeks. Everybody is guessing who might buy Yahoo! and if they are going to be sold soon. It is still a rumor though, nothing is confirmed by Yahoo! yet.

I think posting about the key news that gets your attention will be really valuable to your readers. I would even suggest posting about it at 9mb.com. It’s valuable because we know it will be helpful and it saves us all time from having to dig through it all.
I wonder who is going to snatch them up if they really are in talks. Anyone want to combine resources and buy them….
