The google ads on this blog generated $ 6 in revenue last month. That is a frustrating number for me. Currently I am looking for a solution for that small ad space. Should I offer it public? Or should I place an affiliate ad there? If I place an affiliate banner from Text Link Ads for example on my 300 + posts and I would get 1 sign up, I already make more than I am making with adsense.
The option to delete the whole space also came up in my mind, I am not sure yet. I have the feeling this small ad is not bothering the visitors a lot, so why not try a private ad or an affiliate banner? If I would go for a private ad, for what price would it go?
The new design for King Nomar is ready! I just got it in my email and will set it up when I have more time. I am sure I will stumble upon some problems regarding plugins etc. It will be up soon though !

Sure now I’m using both adsense and text-link ads … but nowadays all is better than adsense

I made about $10 on Yahoo last month. I’m still looking for new sources of revenue, though.

Yeah, I think you should try and sell the space privately. Just keep adsense up until you are able to sell it. I’m sure that space is worth a lot more to a private advertiser than adsense. Although I think a private buyer would want a larger space. Something like 200×200. See if you could get $30-$50 for that to begin with. Just an idea.

Oh I see you sell text-links for $25. So maybe sell that space for $50-$100.

yeh I would go with the TLA affiliate program. What about PPP affilaite, SEO book and other affiliate programs? I have heard they do wonders for other blogs income.

Maybe sell ad spots for like $5-$10 a week? That’d be like $20-$40 a month for the spot or there abouts.

You should just sell out and put one of those big adsense blocks above every post. Guarenteed youll make more money.

Sometimes selling privately is not a bad idea. But I also think that selling privately would rely on one thing and that’s your traffic. John Chow was able to do it because he had a massive following. Unless you have that, you may not have as much success, you know?

Only $6? Sell some nofollow links to a bunch of newbs who are after backlinks with the most greenery.

Ah, thats not a healthy number. I would say use it for some aff. banners with some good colors, hopefully people will signup. Also one thing I can suggest is that plugin which allows people to buy links from the wordpress blog itself…might get a few …
