yet another arrogant patting themselves on the back while ripping off other company and calling themselves robin hood kinda thing.
This was originally done very well by 1-800-FREE-411. It was a great service, even placed ads for like companies such as steakhouse when you asked for restaurants.
for the life of me I cannot figure out for a second why anyone likes google, why oh why, just use ask.com

Yeah, its great. I’ve been using it for months since my cell phone company charges for 411. And Google’s can be used without dealing with a human who can get things wrong.

I’ve been using it for a week or so and I love it. I’ve yet to have the voice recognition screw up and mistake what I said.

I wonder. If it connects you to a long distance number, do you get connected without long-distance charges?

One thing though… I thought you don’t need to dial 1 before 800 (or any area code) when using a cell phone?

Hey, first guy…Ask.com is powered by the Google algorithm now (except for their placement of sponsored ads)…thought you might like to know that.

I agree with the original poster. There is only one difference between Google, Yahoo, MSN
A GMail address required an invitation. Why, I really do not know, there is nothing special about email. As to number 2, I have one question. Who wrote the code????

GMail does not require an invitation anymore …

Will this work on a land line?

Gmail required an invitation only while it was in BETA. This was to prevent too many people going crazy on the unfinished servers, I presume. Didnt really work, cause everyone loves it, so everyone got one.

This is really cool! My Cell Phone company charges for 411 as well so I will definitely use this now.
