Google Body is coming in 2008/2009. It’s an all 3D anatomical atlas of the human body with every part searchable and dissectable. Check out this video which is very impressive:

This is absolutely wonderful! I assume it will be another free service that Google is offering. These sort of high tech informational tools is exactly what the educational community needs. Education seems to be a bit behind as far as using technology to assist learning (no I do not mean using fancy projectors, or HD TV’s). It is great that we are using our software capabilities to teach the human population. Google seems to kick butt on everything that they do, and I sincerely hope that they continue to develop informational tools like this.
Personally I think it would be absolutely amazing if they had a scalable human body just like Google earth. What I mean by this is a body that you can zoom in on to see the small features of anatomical structure, and past the layer of anatomical complexity and all the way down to the biochemistry inside each cell. And the differences in biochemistry in different cells, and tissues could be known to anyone who wants to know, not just dedicated students in the field of chemistry.
Congratulations Google! Keep up the good work!
