This blog is more than 1 year old now and it was definitely not what I expected from it. When I first started (because of reading John Chow’s blog) I thought it was easy to get traffic in and earning some nice monthly numbers. I was wrong, very wrong. Blogging is not easy, I had weeks days with no inspiration, I could not write a post or make a small update. Sometimes I was even thinking of selling the whole online business including this blog. But my mate Anand confinced me of not selling it (check out his new design by the way).
The problem with no motivation is that the next day it will be even harder to come up with a post. Courtney has some very good points in this post. The statement I really liked was:
- Winners never quit & quitters never Win
I totally agree with this statement because it is so true. In the recent year I was blogging I saw a lot of other bloggers coming up and going down 2-3 months after that. They just stopped updating the blog and dissapeared from the blog-o-sphere.
My intentions with this blog were to make money online and I have to agree after 1 year of experience that it is not that easy to do. It takes dedication and hard work. But once the money is rolling, its rolling
The alexa of this blog is not very stable, it is not growing with a nice line like Courtney’s.

The last few days it looks like its going up again, and I hope to keep it this way! The blog is currently in its biggest month with in the last 30 days more than 20,000 unique visitors. It really is time to get my new template up and sell some adspace!

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’ve gone days without inspiration as well and it can be discouraging but unlike you I doubt I can sell my blog as easily unless I find someone else by the same name…
I’ve throughly enjoyed your blog for the past 6 months I’ve subscribed! Love reading about your internet escapades

Thanks Jon, these kind of replies also motivates me more and more ! I’m also subscribed at your place
Yeah, a blog with a real name is harder to sell than a nick name, I agree

Glen, I hate to break it to you, but if his design is being done by Unique Blog Designs, it will look like all the other UBD blogs.

I have to agree with Martin. All of the blogs I have seen that used UBD look alike. The only difference between everyone using the same free theme is that those people paid money for it!

Nomar, in my opinion quality goes over quantity. If you found yourself a subject, write it down somewhere and grab some information together about that subject. Don’t post it the same day. Honestly, I don’t care if you post just twice a week - if the quality is good enough.

Nomar, all of this true.
By the way I just didn’t find your financial show off
