It’s easy to respect the desire to make more money, and it’s easy to respect the drive that leads some people to check in on their AdSense accounts very frequently. The drive may not do all that much to satisfy the desire, though, according to someone who took a month off.
On the WebmasterWorld Forum, “frakilk” wrote that earnings were “[b]etter than I would have expected for my niche in December but I don’t believe it was directly related to not logging in.”
As for time - think about it, an entire month off - frakilk described the amount he saved as “Lots!”
But all in all, it seemed to come down to a sort of quality of life decision. frakilk wrote, “The biggest reason this experiment was a success had to be the lack of worrying what was going on in my account from day to day. At the end of the 30 days I began to feel very silly about any emotional investment I had previously made into the account. . . . Looking at your account on an hourly/daily basis can STRESS you out.”

Less time logging into the account means more time being productive.
