Every day, it seems like there’s another report (or two) signifying that Bing’s getting more users.  Bloggers and site owners should do well to promote themselves through Bing, then, and a sort of how-to concerning getting involved with Bing News has been made available.

Here’s the very, very easy process, as reported by Barry Schwartz: “Brett Yount from the Bing Webmaster Center said the way to be included in Bing News is a manual process.  You simply need to email bns@microsoft.com and wait to hear back.”

No sweat, right?  But since this approach obviously isn’t public knowledge - it was mentioned in a Bing Community thread, and an automated process would be necessary if a huge number of submissions were pouring in - you may be able to get a lead on other people and establish yourself as a trusted source.

Or even if you can’t stay king (or queen) of the Bing News hill, you’re at least liable to see a temporary traffic bump.

So if you provide fresh blog posts or informative blurbs on a regular basis, see about getting listed in Bing News.  Then just sit back and smile as those reports about Bing’s success roll in.
